Aloha, several years ago, i solely produced a 2 actress play with dancers and chanters, about the loss of the Hawaiian kingdom in 1895-7. It went well and so i would love to redo it but not alone. I would like a co producer who can do technical things while i take care of the artistic.
This person would take care of grant writing (with help), booking the theater, tickets, dates and publicity. I would take care of the script, dancers, and chanters and musicians and other arts of Hawai'i.
As yet, i do not know where or when this would take place but if started soon, and a grant would help with booking a venue, it could be by Fall. Is there someone who would be interesteed in co-producing LILI'UOKALANI?
I have an MA in Dance Ethnology and have been teaching Hawaiian chant and dance in boulder, since 1993, so i feel equipped to carry out the artistic section.
We would collaborate, on everything. of coiurse/
