Position Description

The Senior Operations/Facilities Manager will work with the operations team to effectively and efficiently implement the operational plan of the organization. This individual is accountable for the internal policies and procedures that support the strategic and operational plans set forth by the Executive Director and Dairy Arts Center Board of Directors. This position is accountable for maintaining and enhancing the internal organization and infrastructure necessary for the continued growth and sustainability of the Dairy Arts Center and reports to the Executive Director.

You are a creative and resourceful individual with previous experience as a general manager or in operations and customer service. You take pride in your daily work; no detail is too small and you are an expert problem solver. You are comfortable leading a small team to stay on task through delegation and constructive feedback. You have an interest in arts and culture and would feel at home overseeing multiple projects in a fast paced environment of individuals with diverse backgrounds coming together to provide artistic opportunities to our community.

 

Services Management: Client Services, Food and Beverage, Box Office

  • Responsible for all operations department managers, with review/approval responsibility for Box Office Manager, HR & Event Manager, Theater Technical Manager, and Patron Services Manager
  • Manage cross-departmental communication
  • In collaboration with other managers, develop and maintain training materials
  • In collaboration with Patron Services Manager, evaluate performance of patron services staff on an ongoing basis to develop an effective team that supports the Dairy’s mission
  • Work with other managers to periodically review theater rental guideline and contracts
  • Analyze data to develop strategies for increasing box office revenue, food and beverage revenue and rental revenue
  • Reconcile daily cash, credit card and check deposits from all profit centers
  • Oversee and maintain all related operational budgets

 

Facilities & IT Management Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with department managers and resident organizations regarding building needs and issues
  • Serve as primary point of contact and contracting agent for all facility needs including utilities, maintenance, security, and appropriate local government agencies such as fire, police, health, and safety
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures; maintain the inventory and warranty records for equipment and supplies
  • Manage lease renewals for resident organizations
  • Maintain and further commitment to a sustainable, green facility
  • Ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA health and safety regulations and other governmental regulations

 

Administrative Management Responsibilities

  • Liaise with IT vendor to troubleshoot problems
  • Manage employee, client and vendor building access including keys and access codes
  • Responsible for general office management including supplies and organization
  • Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

Required

  • 3+ years of related experience in similar environment
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Microsoft Office
  • Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with set deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Attention to detail

 

Preferred

  • Quickbooks
  • Bill paying service such as bill.com
  • Management experience with 3+ direct reports
  • HR or Communication Management experience

 

Other

    • Maintain positive relationship with peers, colleagues, and constituencies of the Dairy
    • Demonstrate commitment to the mission of the Dairy
    • Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds

 

  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be added at the discretion of the Executive Director

 

 

Salary and Benefits

This is a full time salaried position averaging 40 hours per week starting at $45,000 including paid holidays, PTO; health, dental and vision benefits; RTD Eco Pass; discounted Rally Sport membership; and complimentary tickets as available
