Class (drop-in)
Thursday, April 12th, 2012
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
2590 31st St.
Boulder, CO 80301

To learn to draw, you must train not only your hands but your eyes as well; having the ability to look and see, to observe and scrutinize. With an emphasis on observational skills throughout, this class will cover the basics of all types of drawing: line, tone, perspective and composition; equipping you with the ability to produce coherent still life drawings while including a foundation to pursue any kind of drawing in the future. During the 6 weeks you will also experiment with a variety of materials such as graphite pencils, charcoal, pastel and felt tip pens so you can determine your own preference.

This class will involve working from still life in a relaxed studio setting 3 hours per night [for one night per week] over a 6 week period. The course is open to beginners but each student will be given individual attention with regards to his or her own skills.  Participants need to bring an object to include in the still life set up.

Feb. 2012: Thursday evenings March 8, 15, 22, 29, April 5 & 12.

Cost
