NOBO Art District joins Boulder Arts Week
In April as part of Boulder Arts Week we are seeking spoken word artists to collaborate with our visual artists in unique and different ways. Poets write works based on paintings, painters express the feelings from written works. Come see and hear these unique and special collaborations on First Friday April 3rd, 6-9pm. Contact us at NoBoArtDistrict@gmail.com if you are a writer, poet or spoken word performer and we will find a visual artist that you can collaborate with.

As part of First Fridays Art Walk April 3rd, 6-9pm we feature: PaintAbout, an interactive event giving art lovers the opportunity to visit the private studios of North Boulder’s professional artists and create their own work of art in a night for a small $25 fee.
Visit individual artist studios. As a collective we allow the community to visit our private studios and experience a vast array of creative expression. We look forward to meeting more of the art aficionados from the Front Range and beyond.
The NoBo Art District established its monthly First Friday event in 2009 to showcase local artists with a supportive cooperative grassroots effort. Beginning with a dozen members, the organization has grown to include over 125 artists in 2013. Artists’ mediums include oil; acrylic; watercolor painters; photographers; potters; fashion designers; musicians; silk painters and more.
“Boulder is an environmentally friendly town, and we want to latch onto that philosophy by saying, ‘Be green and buy local: Support your local artist,’” said multi-media artist Annette Coleman, a NoBo Art District founding member. “We’re on the SKIP bus route, too.”
