Located on the south side of the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics (JILA) building at the University of Colorado, this cast aluminum, bas-relief sculpture depicts 3 figures against a parametric, tiled background. Each figure represents a major research area of The Institute. The top male figure is gazes through a telescope. The middle male figure is guiding rays of light. The lower female figure contemplates atomic and molecular structures.
