"Speak the speech, I pray you:" Shakespearean Acting for Adults (ages 21+)

Have you ever watched a great Shakespearean actor and wondered - how do they do it? In this acting class for adults you can reap the benefits of CSF actor Anne Sandoe and Shakespeare scholar Shirley Carnahan’s extensive experience as they introduce you to voice, text, and movement techniques that professional actors use to create compelling Shakespeare performances. This 8-week course will concentrate on working with a monologue of your own choosing as well as a short script designed especially for the class, and the class will culminate with a final showing. No prior experience necessary. Students from previous sessions of this class are welcome to return. Ages 21+
