The 10th Annual Boulder Arts Week, the cities only large-scale, inclusive celebration of our community’s vibrant arts and cultural offerings, happened between April 5 - April 13, 2024.
How do we show up for our community? We explored this question with Warm Cookies of the Revolution and Colorado Business Committee for the Arts! This conversation was moderated by bilingual equity reporter Rosanna Longo-Better. Evan Weissman, Meredith Badler, and Rosanna Longo-Better will shared a conversation on how to apply the principles of civic engagement, through a very creative lens, to address some of the most pressing local and regional issues of our time.

Superior's Cultural Arts & Public Spaces (CAPS) committee, supported by the Boulder County Arts Alliance, presented a FREE introduction on how to use generative artificial intelligence (AI) for artmaking. In the coming years, AI "copilots" will assist our professional, personal, and creative lives. Similar to keyboards, mice, joysticks, and touchscreens, new AI systems are an improved way to communicate with a computer. This workshop explored how artists - professionals and amateurs alike - can use these new tools to enhance their creativity.
Coloradans and Our Shared Environment in Times of Challenge and Change
Eight teams of CU Boulder climate scientists and artists from across rural and urban Colorado collaborated to craft artwork that tells the story of how Coloradans are experiencing interrelated challenges of fire, drought, and water and air quality in their communities. Together, these Colorado Art Science Environment (CASE) Fellows created artwork featured in the exhibition Coloradans and Our Shared Environment in Times of Challenge and Change.
This program is lead by the CU Boulder Office for Outreach and Engagement in partnership with the Institute for Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR) and Boulder County Arts Alliance. The program and exhibition, originally featured at the Colorado State Capitol, was displayed at the CU Boulder Campus at the Sustainability Energy and Environment Community (SEEC) building from Jan. 10 through Feb. 24, 2024.
