Crazy times call for artists and leaders prepared to think flexibly and outside the box. Strengthen your ability to communicate, lead, and collaborate in this experiential and welcoming improv workshop. Join BCAA's treasurer, Matthew Clifford, for a gamified workshop on tax filing as an artist. Scheduled to take place the week after the tax filing extension deadline, Tax Trivia will offer continued momentum for the artist who already feels organized with their taxes, while offering clarity and motivation for the artist who is still fine tuning their tax filing approach.

BCAA is hosting a crafting session for the community to create mini pieces of art, which will be abandoned later that week at the Boulder Arts Blueprint Launch Party! Creative Director of Phamaly Theatre Company, Ben Ranaan, will provide actionable strategies for increasing inclusivity and accessibility in the arts. The Boulder Office of Arts and Culture and Boulder County Arts Alliance will be co-hosting a summit addressing your frequently asked questions. Kristen Davidson, PhD (Consultant for Funding and Strategic Partnerships for Music, Education, & Health Orgs) will also be answering questions related to individual donors and corporate sponsorships! Join us for a workshop with Kathy Beekman at The Collective in Lafayette where she will share her method for bookkeeping as a professional artist. Presented by the Boulder County Arts Alliance, Create Boulder, and the Boulder Chamber.

Business of Arts for Youth Crafters is a fun, hand’s on program to help young artists learn the essential business skills that go into being a professional artist. Participants will learn how to price and sell their artist work, as well as how to talk about and promote their art with confidence. This program includes two Business of Arts workshops designed for youth audiences, and the opportunity to sell their work at two NoBo First Friday Art Markets. Join BCAA & March Forth for our second Grief Happy Hour with special guest speaker, Erika Mahoney, daughter of King Sooper shooting victim, Kevin Mahoney, and creator of the Senseless podcast. Guided by Liz Compos, participants will use their own device to gain hands on experience with the most up to date strategies in Social Media Marketing. We are excited to welcome Nikki Rashada McCord, who will present three sessions on nonprofit board development. These sessions will be held virtually. Join us at Patagonia on Pearl Street for a presentation by three artists whose creative work reflects contemporary research in ecological science: Amy Hoagland, Alexandra Lockhart, and Madison Sankovitz. Snacks and refreshments will be served.
