Pathways To Jazz exists to provide opportunities for jazz musicians of all ages to succeed in their artistic and educational development. We fund qualified musicians to record their music so they may further their artistry and career. Expectation If you are awarded the grant, the expectation is that you will create a physical CD. Anything outside of those parameters can be proposed to Pathways To Jazz by the artist, and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Application Process To be considered for the grant, musicians will need to submit a Letter of Intent between April 6-24, 2020 and the first 40 submissions will be considered. You will be asked to describe your project and participants, your experience and to provide a breakdown of your budget. Up to 20 applicants will be selected to apply and they will be notified and receive instructions by May 30. Selected applicants will complete the grant application through the Boulder County Arts Alliance website beginning June 1. Music samples will be requested at this time. The deadline to apply is 5pm on June 30, 2020; no applications will be accepted after this date. Determinations will be made in July, and the applicant will be notified within the first three weeks of August. Those awarded a grant, will have until Dec. 31, 2021 to complete their project. A final report will also be due by this date. CLICK THE BUTTON FOR MORE INFORMATION AND THE LETTER OF INTENT FORM |
