We love the lacy look of these hand drawn hearts on a soft pink background. They’re created by Annie Reiser, botanical artist and certified Zentangle® instructor. Zentangle® is a simple method for creating beautiful pen and ink drawings, even for those with no previous drawing experience. At its simplest, it’s making patterns within a defined area by using basic repeating strokes. On a deeper level, it’s a meditative practice that’s fun, relaxing, and accessible to all. Doodling it’s not! Annie will teach you several Zentangle® patterns and show you how to combine them to create a striking design. The background paper is a muted watercolor pattern that she’ll create before class with watercolor washes, sponging, and touches of translucent, sparkly color. The paper beautifully offsets the black ink of the central design. Annie provides pre-cut paper and cardstock so you can mount your completed heart for framing. If you prefer, you can turn your design into a card and decorate a matching envelope with a small Zentangle® accent. This class is for both beginning and experienced Zentanglers.
