Join UMAS y MEXA de CU Boulder to celebrate the dedication of the community-created Los Seis Sculpture in front of Temporary Building 1! The sculpture was created to honor the lives of six Chicano student activists and CU Boulder alumni: Una Jaakola, Neva Romero, Florencio Granado, Francisco Dougherty, Heriberto Terán, and Reyes Martínez.

***NOTE ABOUT THE PROGRAM***

While the majority of the program will take place inside the CASE Building (1725 Euclid Ave, Boulder CO 80309), we will be meeting at the Los Seis sculpture in front of Temporary Building 1 to begin.

Event schedule:

2:00PM: Temporary Building One (TB-1, West of the 'rec center') site of Los Seis de Boulder Sculpture, with Lenny Foster, Grupo Azteca Tlahuitzcalli, Denver Singers.

3:00PM: March from Sculpture to Visual Arts Complex for refreshments, and to view related exhibit.

3:30PM: Center for Academic Success and Engagement (CASE) Auditorium (next to Visual Arts Complex)
Speakers including: Isabel García, Tucson attorney and border activist; Malaquias Montoya, Professor Emeritus UC Davis; Jessica Valadez-Fraire & Jaqueline Rangel, Aquetza Academic Summer Program; Magnolia Landa-Posas, Aquetza Academic Summer Program Former Co-Director.

4:30PM: Light refreshments and entertainment.

5:00PM: Screening of Symbols of Resistance documentary; discussion to follow with Priscilla E. Falcón, UNC Professor.
