Artists and scientists in the Art+Science+Action cohort developed six interactive projects using the Guidelines for Art and Science Partnerships, to engage communities in exploring local environmental and social issues— from space junk to cultural and biological diversity. The projects featured in this exhibition were created in partnership with local communities, the CU Boulder Office for Outreach and Engagement and Boulder County Arts Alliance.
During the first year of this cohort-based program, CU Boulder researchers, artists and arts organization leaders worked together to define important questions for the Boulder area and created projects that engage heart and mind to catalyze community action. The projects focus on honoring science and art as co-equal realms of thought and re-establish relationships with the places and communities in which we live.
Find out more about the projects and the unique perspectives and activities they offer here and attend a virtual artist talk on Wednesday, Nov., 17 from 6 - 7 p.m.
