Katie Harwood is a photography based contemporary artist. She has been making photographs and portraits for over 15 years. She received her BA from Columbia College Chicago and her MFA from San Francisco Art Institute. She is the Founder and Navigator of Big Bad Bettie Press, an independent publisher marching to the beat of it’s own drum. She received the award for Innovations in Imaging from the Society for Photographic Education in 2015. Her work was recently included in Root Division’s prestigious MFA NOW 2015 exhibition and CAPTURED 2015 at Newspace Center for Photography, which was named by American Photo magazine as one of the ten best photography shows of the summer. Katie currently has work on view from her series Everything’s Fine Here in the Boulder Creative Collective’s Spring show called Raspberry Pi, in The BCC: Warehouse. katieharwood.com
