In this 3 hour workshop we will explore the basics of light painting. Light painting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera. A camera with manual settings, including a B (bulb) setting and a tripod are required. After a demonstration we will all experiment and each individual will go home with some images. This exercise helps one understand some of the most basic fundamentals of light and it's relation to the camera.
