“Boneless,” a pair of dance works by two CU Boulder MFA students, uses richly physical movement to peer beneath the surface of human existence.
A sensorial journey accessing the unity of mind, body and spirit, Rachel Dodson’s piece twists and writhes, turning the self inside out to explore one’s inner landscape.
Interested in unearthing the creature within, Dodson’s work seeks to peer under the surface of who we are in order to see what animal self lies in wait.
How does commercializing art dilute authentic forms? These questions and more are articulated through Colt Irvin’s dance work combining skateboarding vernacular forms with questions surrounding the consumption of products, identities and food.
