The Space
The Firehouse Art Center is proud to offer facilities rental to the community for events or activities of any kind. We take great pride in the unique atmosphere we offer and go to great lengths to add value to your rental. We also rely on the income from facility rentals to grow and expand our programs. Based on these factors, we have developed the following rates that we feel are competitive and reasonable:
- Rent the Art Department only – $40 per hour
- Rent the Main Gallery only – $60 per hour
- Rent the Main Gallery & Art Dept – $100 per hour
SLIDING SCALE
If you are a non-profit organization, member, sponsor or volunteer of the Firehouse or plan to rent consecutively, we offer a sliding scale on our rates.

The Firehouse Art Center is a historic landmark in downtown Longmont. Renovated in 1999, the Firehouse Art Center is a permanent art gallery and facility for art education and classes. The main gallery can hold up to 120 people standing, 90 people seated auditorium style and 50 people seated at tables. The Art Department features a kitchen with two sinks, microwave and small fridge. It can hold 40 people standing and 16 seated at tables. There are two bathrooms, one in the main gallery and one in the Art Dept.
We have just recently completed an update to the Firehouse main gallery and Art Department. The main gallery now has a new, much smaller desk area and more open floor plan. In the Art Dept. we removed the old kitchenette and replaced it with a more compact and user friendly kitchenette. The brick wall has been exposed and refinished creating a much nicer space. Please note that we also increased our rates because of the updates.

The Building
The mission of the Firehouse Art Center is to promote cultural awareness of the arts in the community by: diverse educational programs, events, and curation of local, regional and national exhibits.
The Firehouse Art Center curates twelve unique exhibitions a year mixing solo and group shows. In keeping with our mission, our exhibitions are a diverse blend of traditional and contemporary styles that intersperse the work of local, regional and national artists.
