The Space
The Community Room at the Nederland Community Center is a spacious, open room that can accommodate large gatherings. The Community Room is adjacent to a commercial kitchen and is ideal for parties, conferences, workshops and retreats. The meeting room is also adjacent to the Gymnasium. Both rooms can be rented together to accommodate larger groups or active events such as weddings, corporate retreats or health care forums.
The Center’s full size Gymnasium features a recycled rubber floor, basketball hoops, and volleyball lines and is ideal for sports activities of all kinds. The gymnasium is currently used for floor hockey, basketball, indoor tennis instruction, martial arts and indoor soccer.

Rules & Regulations
Rental Policies:
• Set-up and breakdown times shall be charged at half of the hourly rental rate. Please allow enough time for your event
• After hours use of the Center may be subject to a minimum of $25 per hour additional charge
• Use of concession stand shall include use of unused cupboard space, but shall not include the refrigerator, soda cooler, or popcorn machine, unless prior approval is obtained from the Backdoor Theater. Candy stored in cupboards is the exclusive property of the Backdoor Theater.
• Minimum Fee for a Large Event is $100 – Contact Community Center Manager
• Linens may be available for rent – contact Community Center Manager
• Tables/Chairs Rental – offsite $25 deposit and $10 a day
• Wine Glass Rental 20+ people $25
• Consecutive Day rates are available
• Community rental rates are for private and non-profit activities, and certain commercial
activities which provide a benefit to the Nederland community. The public is welcome to
rent any facility for private functions i.e. weddings, birthday parties, graduations, retirement etc.
• Facilities must be returned in their original condition (chairs stacked, tables stored etc)
• Cleaning fee may be added to basic rental fee depending on nature of event and staff
determination or for any facility not cleaned after use ($25.00/hr rate). A set up and breakdown fee of one half the hourly rate may be charged depending on nature of event and staff determination. Any combination of facility rentals will be on an averaged cost basis
• The Town may consider exceptions to the stated rates on a case-by-case basis.
