Description[Edit This]
2019 Art on the Street- Art on Loan Program. This sculpture is based on mythology and the memory of a carnival ride for inspiration. Calypso was a nymph in Greek mythology, who lived on the island of Ogygia, where, according to the Odyssey, she detained Odysseus for seven years. As you look deep into the patterns of colorful glass you too will lose yourself just as Odysseus, or twirled around on the Calypso carnival ride.
