Part 2 of 2: Dushanbe Tea House

Artist Haydar Mirakhmatov is from Tajikistan and is leading the restoration process. Haydar is the son of Mirplat Mirakhmatov, one fo the original teahouse artists who helped create the building in Tajikistan and was also a member of the team who helped to assemble the building in boulder in 1998. The teahouse was given to the city of Boulder by their sister city Dushanbe, Tajikistan as a symbol of international friendhsip, peace, and understanding.
