Kids Taiko Course (Ages 5-6): Join us for a rhythmic adventure designed specifically for children ages 5-6!

In this dynamic course, young drummers will explore the exciting world of taiko drumming through engaging activities and games. Led by Julia Misawa(https://www.onedojo.org/japanese-taiko-drum-lessons), participants will learn basic taiko techniques, develop coordination, and discover the joy of making music together.

With a focus on fun and creativity, this course offers a supportive environment for young learners to express themselves and connect with Japanese culture. No previous experience required – just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to drum!

Kids Taiko Course (Ages 7-12): Calling all aspiring drummers ages 7-12! Dive into the captivating rhythms of taiko drumming in this interactive course designed specifically for older children.

Led by Julia Misawa(https://www.onedojo.org/japanese-taiko-drum-lessons), participants will embark on a musical journey, learning fundamental taiko techniques, mastering rhythmic patterns, and exploring the cultural significance of this ancient art form.

Through hands-on instruction and group activities, students will develop coordination, teamwork skills, and confidence in their musical abilities. Whether you're a seasoned musician or brand new to drumming, this course offers an exciting opportunity to unleash your creativity and connect with Japanese culture through the power of taiko. All skill levels welcome – let's drum together!

Plus, all children will have the chance to showcase their skills at upcoming events such as the Boulder Creek Festival in May and/or the Denver Sakura Matsuri in June. Stay tuned for announcements of these performance dates!

Attire: Please come dressed in comfortable attire suitable for physical activity, similar to what you would wear to a gym. We recommend avoiding jeans or skirts for ease of movement.

Hydration: Stay refreshed and energized throughout the class by bringing a water bottle to keep hydrated.
