Description

SATURDAYS: 10AM-12PM
Ages 7-13 (Kids under 7 can attend with a parent for $8)
Cost: $8 (REDUCED LUNCH OR CHILDREN OF FAMILY PATRON OF THE ARTS CAN ATTEND FOR FREE)
Where: Firehouse Classroom (Entrance is on Coffman Street- go through the door and directly up the stairs to your right)

PLEASE WEAR CLOTHING YOU DON’T MIND GETTING MESSY (coats can go on the hangers to the left of the Coffman entrance in the hallway)

WHAT IS MIXED MEDIA? 

In visual art, mixed media describes artwork in which more than one medium or material has been employed. Assemblages, collages, and sculpture are three common examples of art using different media

Mixed media art is distinguished from multimedia art which combines visual art with non-visual elements, such as recorded sound, literature, drama, dance, motion graphics, music, or interactivity. 

Mixed media materials (can include, not limited to) 

  • paint 
  • cloth 
  • paper 
  • wood 
  • and found objects
